and my summer dress was saved

DSC_1229
So it seems like there could be a "Things Maggie Learned" feature weekly on my blog because seriously, I learn new things every week that blow my mind. Like, just when you think your creative writing teacher disliked you all semester, he actually thinks you are an excellent writer and gives you an "A" despite his reluctance to give them out to "Introduction to Creative Writing" students (because what do we know RIGHT!? Apparently we/I do know some things). And dry shampoo actually works and allowed me to go three days without washing my hair this week (I still showered, just skipped the Herbal Essences...acceptable?). And when you are trying to prove you aren't cool, people just think you're cooler. GUYS, that wasn't the point! But I love you all three thousand times more and now I think I want my outfit posts to strictly be made of outtakes. (I'm kidding, I don't think my esteem could take quite so many punches day after day). But may I take you all out for coffee? Will you all sit down with me and eat a plate sized cinnamon roll with me? Come to Montana and both my presence and debit card will be at your disposal.

I'm currently lazing about in my own living room at home, in a towel and robe because, yes, I did finally shower. The first thing I did after surviving the mountain passes of Idaho and Montana was hang out with my mom (realizing how poor of a college student I must be when her buying me a $4.50 grilled cheese had me blubbering over my food) and then sit on my tush to take advantage of the Hulu plus account I've been neglecting (thankfully I have my sister's friends to do that for me when I'm otherwise busy).

I took these pictures with my roommate the other day (Jenny is the best ya'll) after she told me about the super creepy cemetery next to some train tracks out by the warehouse where she has ballet practices. I don't know where "bright colored pink dress" fit into "super creepy cemetery next to some train tracks" but in my mind I think I wanted to say YES, Maggie, buying this dress wasn't a waste because it can be worn every season of the year! And guess what? It's true! This summer dress was saved from the great closet purge of 2012! With the addition of my all time favorite scarf (it makes me feel like I have a blanket wrapped around my neck constantly which is definitely a dream come true.)

You are all *the* best.

YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!! See? You worried for nothing about your writing class because a) you're a genius b) who could NOT like you're writing!!?

I love love love this dress on you whatever season it may be. Dry shampoo is the bomb, and hulu saves us all when it comes to obsessions with television shows. I love youuuuuuu.

Does dry shampoo really work that well because I'm probably the laziest person ever. If I can avoid washing my hair every other day than I'm game! I'm gonna try it.

This is such a great outfit. I love your shoes so much!

Dry shampoo saves lives! I'm really into this brand Batiste, which they make for different colored hair. Ordered it on Amazon. It's loooooove.

The contrast between the white and the black and the pink in these photographs is AMAZING. Great outfit, great pictures, as always.

the thing that makes you so interesting and fun to come back to, other than your clothes, is your honesty, and down-to-earth-ness.

who doesn't want a friend (virtual or otherwise) who talks about themselves with humility and humor? it's so refreshing.

I can't do that if I try, so it's nice to visit you and see it done so well.
