feeling like a nothing

DSC_0340
I skipped two classes yesterday. I somehow managed to get myself to yoga. (Somehow). But, after showering, doing more chemistry homework, I collapsed in my bed and slept through biology. I had to go to chemistry, so I did, and then I came home and collapsed again. After dinner, we watched Drop Dead Gorgeous which kept me from sleeping, thankfully, but immediately after, I took some sleeping pills and fell asleep...again. Before 10PM. I just slept a full ten and a half hours and I'm still tired. I think, maybe, just maybe, I've actually caught the flu for real this time. My throat burns and my body feels like it's about to fall to pieces. Womp womp womp.

Anyways, to make matters worse, it is still snowing. They (and by they I mean my mother) the winter that will never end and looking out my window now, I see no hope in a blue sky ever again. Seriously? Another 6 inches out there? Seriously? Yesterday, it felt like it was summer when it was 30 degrees outside and now it's back to being bitterly cold. In fact, I apologize for it leaking into my blog post and my bad, sad little mood. I am just itching for spring like anyone else! I guess I also didn't realize that even though I left home 3 hours away, the climates are very different. While my home home has lots of snow, Montana has had over 20 days of below freezing temperatures since winter break ended. Brrrrrrrrr!

I took these pictures in the middle of one such storm. I had on a cute sequin top under this enormous sweater but for the life of me, couldn't make myself take it off. I know it's frumpy and adds ten pounds to the additional ten pounds that the camera adds (or is that just film?) but it's just so cozy. My mom's side of the family originated in Norway and this is one of those whole knit wool sweaters that has been in her closet for years.

I got this cute little headband from the lovely Modcloth for free when I ordered a dress around Christmas! Isn't it cute? I was so excited. I love anything that's free ;). I got this skirt from Urban Outfitters last winter and hadn't worn it since so I decided to wear it again. It's funny how you find things like that in your closet that you used to be obsessed with but haven't worn in months and months! These tights have a whole in them (like all my opaque tights) but it will never stop me from wearing them! I love them too much!

They (Modcloth) sent me a free headband as well, and I got some earrings from them a while back too. :D

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well! Sleep definitely helps, though, so glad to hear you're getting some rest. :D

Oh booger, I hope that you are able to get all jazzed up and feel better. I can relate though-- I was in that so-tired-sleeping-still phase about two weeks ago. Just take a super hot shower, use up all the hot water, make your dormmates hate you, and then do an Audrey movie marathon. It helps, I promise.

And.. yuck.. this weather. You're a trooper for sure. Anything below 30 and I shy away from any form of tights and wear matronly, super long skirts.

xoxo
You are beautiful.

Oh no! I really hope you don't actually have the flu... that would be terrible. D: Keep warm in that super cute yet cozy sweater and try to stay healthy! And geez, it sounds like the snow will just not leave you alone. It's terrible when bad weather leaves you in a bad mood, but it's so true that weather really does play a big part in how you feel. I hope it warms up! And yes, that headband is quite adorable. ModCloth is wonderful!

Stay healthy! You have SO much snow. I don't see how you feel inspired to wear cute clothes when it's so cold out. I love the pattern of your tights. I haven't seen any like that!

Wow! How lucky are you that your mom has a bunch of those sweaters tucked away. I would be so happy to have a bunch of those. I think they are so comfortable and classic looking. :) The over-sized-ness makes you look even cuter.

And free headband? As if there weren't already enough reasons to love Modcloth.
