In High School, Tuesday's were my favorite night of the week. It meant one thing: dollar scoop!! It became sort of a tradition last year to go to Baskin Robbins every Tuesday night and spend way too much thinking about all 31 flavors of ice cream although I always ended up getting the same thing: peanut butter chocolate! Mmmmmm. Peanut butter and chocolate has to be the best combination of anything in the world. I want to bow down to the creator of such genius. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

For the past ten days, I have had a lot of time alone. And it's been kind of refreshing. And frustrating. And lovely. Yesterday, I spent the whole day wallowing in the woman monthly pits and did absolutely nothing. Today, I woke up absolutely frustrated with my pathetic-ism, popped a couple Ibprofen that took me twenty minutes to swallow (really) and got my butt to it. As my dad likes to say. I showered, made my bed, dug through all the clothes on my floor and put a load of laundry in the washer, and by ten I was taking portraits for my best friend Margaret (the other half of Margaret squared!). After that, I picked up my sister from my orthodonist appointment making me feel way too much like a Mother Dearest, had lunch with Niklaas, and resumed my household duties. While making cookies, I continued my laundry, cleaned my room, edited Margaret's portraits, finished crocheting a hat, and vacuumed my room. All of this before 3pm! Here are some pictures I took of Margaret!

(my favorite. Isn't she gorgeous??????)

The time alone has also spurred a lot of thoughts. Like, one of the best inventions ever created was a towel rack. It has to be one of the most useful pieces of metal (?) in my house (what is a towel rack made of anyways?). And, whoever invented decided to use cake mix in tiny little round spheres and call them muffins so that it was socially acceptable to eat cake for breakfast was also a genius. Seriously. These kinds of things cross my mind. But. I've also been thinking about other things. In light of the new year, I did a bit of reminscing in my head and in thinking about myself last year and my then-mindset of trying to finish high school and move on to "bigger and better things", it made me want to pat then-Maggie on the head and tell her everything would be okay. And then it made me realize, every single year in thinking about the previous year, I look at myself in the past and see myself as a naiive know-nothing little girl. Every year! So, does that mean right now I am naiive and know nothing and pale in comparison to the "old" and "matured" Maggie that I will be next year? Hmmmm...

It seems that I keep telling myself I'm going to save the shoots I take the day of for another day- but then I just end up posting them that day anyways! I took these pictures with Margaret today and I love how they turned out. How could I not post them? At least this way, I can save all of Niklaas' magical pictures for later when I'm not in Moscow, I guess. Hahaha. I was going to save this dress for spring too (has anyone else been buying for spring already?) but..ooh well. I got this dress from Forever21 and it was only twelve bucks! It might be my new all time favorite too. It's so soft and stretchy and comfortable- it feels like wearing a normal T-Shirt! I got this bike necklace from Alex a few months ago but I wore it so often that it broke! Well, my dad fixed it for me today and I am just the happiest girl ever now!

(yes, I did cut my bangs!)
You all are way too familiar with these boots but I couldn't not wear them, sorry! I loved wearing them with this outfit. I felt almost...grunge today and it was probably my favorite outfit I've worn in a while. While pulling out this dress to wear this morning I thought to myself, gee, wouldn't it be nice if I owned purple tights? And in the midst of going through my thirty some tights, I found PURPLE tights. It was a serious Spongebob Squarepants nerd worthy geek out moment. I loved wearing this whole outfit so much!

Peanut butter and chocolate is possibly the best combination ever, I think. As far as ice cream goes, it depends on what kind of a mood I'm in... sometimes chocolate chip cookie dough, sometimes the Oreo or Reeses chunks kind, sometimes the triple chocolate fudge explosion kind... IT'S ALL SO GOOD! And now I really want some ice cream. Gosh.

Wow, your day certainly does sound like it was extremely productive! :D You did way more productive things before 3 pm that day than I'd do in an entire weekend normally, haha. Which is great!

I'm definitely liking your dress a ton. You can never go wrong with Forever 21! And I love the purple tights too! I feel like this comment has way too many exclamation marks so I'm just going to end it before I use another one...

That feeling of "naive little me" never seems to go away. Hey, at least it means we're still growing ;)

Looking great!

Yaaaaaay for a fixed necklace :)!!!!!!! Everytime I find one really cool I'll send it! Anyway, hummm my favorite ice cream is chocolate & almonds even though it gives me stomachache because I am not suppose to eat dairy products! Hahahaha but I am so addicted to chocolate that I just let my stomachache pass. I love the outfit! Very cute! I always go to f21 thinking "I am buying a dress this time... One like Maggie's" and I NEVER find one that I love :( such a shame. I have way too many tops and bottoms!

I love these photos! You are so adorable!

I do the same thing - I look back and almost laugh at myself for being so silly. But of course, what I've done in the past has an effect on me now, so I wouldn't change anything for the world. Right now I feel so ready to get out, explore, see more than my little town... but I keep reminding myself that the next 7 months I will be here serve as a transitioning period. I don't even know where I want to go yet!

Hope all is well

Cute hair cut! I know what you mean about that feeling... i always look back a year and think about how stupid and immature I was back then, though back then I thought I was all that...

And my favorite flavor of ice cream? Mint chocolate chip!

Those purple tights are legit. <- Can you tell I'm back at college if that is the first adjective that pops into my head? ;)

And I definitely feel like I didn't know anything when I look back each year. Especially in how I handle my relationship with N. It makes me happy to know we're still growing though and it's okay to know that maybe we don't really know anything.

Ooo I love peanut butter & chocolate!! Chocolate anything is my favorite. :D

You (& your friend) look gorgeous! I love your dress. xx

The tights are gorgeous! I love tights that give such a vibrant pop of colour. I think I've probably got more solid coloured ones than I have patterned, much as I do love a good pair of patterned tights.
