almost done

after maybe the hardest test i have ever taken in my entire life (organic chemistry final) and also the test that i've ever been the least prepared for in my entire life, i came home to a lovely note in my mailbox informing me that my wallet was found. not only was it found, but the sweetest man in the world was kind enough to pick it up where he found it on the street outside goodwill and track me down (no easy feat when the only identifier in my wallet was a driver's license). luckily, he figured to call the university, who called residence life, who found my dorm, and then connected him to our front desk. it took two days and it was a huge relief (the "my wallet is lost" excuse for not wanting to go anywhere was getting old and my friends are really nice people and bought me dinner twice). i thanked him obnoxiously on the phone but the funny thing is that i'll probably never know this man's name nor be able to return the favor. i'm incredibly thankful and perhaps a little bit of my faith in humanity is restored as well. we're taught not to trust strangers and we're taught that people don't always have the best intentions... but you know what? sometimes, sometimes they do.

That is wonderful to hear that there are still some kind people in the world willing to do a good deed for a college student with a lost wallet. :) Best of luck on your final. It sounds brutal, but I am sure you will get through it!

That's so great! I love the feeling I get when people come to our lost&found, hoping for their wallet, credit card, ring, etc. and we have it, their happiness is contagious. We had a girl that was freaking out because her ring fell off in the bathroom and someone turned it in. She actually said,"I want to hug you, but that would probably be awkward."

First off, love your wallet. It's too cute!
And that warmed my heart :) I don't trust the general public, but I try to remember that there are SOME good people out there.
I hope you done well on the final! Enjoy your time off =)
