a wave to hello, how are you?

I've found myself falling into a blog posting routine. Wednesdays and Sundays must be my most inspirational days of the week....;) Anyways, what's new? one: Today I got in trouble. I'm kind of a goody-two shoes. Sort of. Goody-two shoes in the sense that I don't really do bad things at all, but I've been known to manipulate adults around me every now and then. Okay more than now and then. And sometimes my sister. And sometimes my peers. Never anything bad. Just, sometimes, I really need someone to run errands with me. Or take outfit pictures. Or give me a ride when Stanley acts up (my car). But that's beside the point! Mostly, I'm pretty innocent and being a petite gal has taught me one thing: people rarely expect much mischeif out of me. And again! It's mostly true. So when I waltzed out of the bathroom today and got confronted as looking "up to no good" and escorted to the class I was apparently skipping so that I could do drugs in the girls bathroom, I was surprised. To say the least. Little me? Really, hall monitor/nazi, me? Ha. Ha. Ha. I actually didn't find it very funny at all. Thankfully, my english teacher is quite a bro and backed me up more than I could have asked for. In fact, for a good thirty seconds, I was sure I was going to be witness to an epic battle between old hall monster (I mean, monitor) and hip english teacher. (He would probably swoon at being called hip) But a strong verbal spat wasn't too shabby, either. What a prick! I am most definitely not sneaky. At least, not outwardly. Hehehe. two: Justin Bieber on Idol tonight definitely made my day. Is it weird that I teared up about six times during that episode? There was something mildly inspiring about watching all three of those average joe's making it on Idol and returning to their hometowns like the freaking Queen of England. three:Tonight was very possibly my last soccer practice ever on an official "team". It's entirely a mixed feeling. Relief. Sadness. Joy. Liberation. The usual. I was asked what I'm going to do with the extra time...and there are two ways I'm going to spend it. One: catching up in calculus and school in general before graduation. Two: with my dear. Because...the last week or so has been poopy as far as finding time to see him. four: My dear and I went to McDonald's today (I regret not taking a picture) after milling about at the farm in class and I got chicken nuggets with my Happy Meal. They don't call it a happy meal for nothing..let me tell you. five: I know this blog post isn't one of the promised exciting "three" that I have planned...but trust me, it'll all be worth it. I promise! Or at least...I hope :). six: my obsession with Jillian Edwards (LOOK HER UP! LOOK HER UP!) has grown exponentially in the past week. How can you not love lyrics like: If you were a melody I'd sing you all the time And if your hands were poetry I'd memorize every line seven: tell me I'm not crazy because I wouldn't eat a worm for five dollars. Or twenty. Or even one hundred. eight: I kind of love the lyrics a wave to hello, how are you? It just makes me think so much about the course of any relationship. Not just a romantic one, but in forming a friendship. The process of going from, "oh hey there," with a casual wave, to "Hey!! How are you doing?" with some heart behind it. When I really think about it, every relationship I've had can be broken down in little footholds this way. The first time we met to the casual semi-awkward wave when we run into eachother to the first lengthly conversation to bonding and to that "hello! We are friends and i care about you, how are you?" greeting. nine: outfit pictures? sure! Why not? I took these all myself :(. I found the perfect little spot at this park next to my house with a sweet little bench perfect for setting the selftimer ;). My usual rule for patterns is usually two at max. However...I used three today. I absolutely love how it turned out though- the purple, pink, and blue flowers in this dress matched perfectly to the stripe cardi! At least, I thought so. I certainly got the age old..."Maggie, stripes and florals don't match...I don't get it." But, I've learned not to care. Oh, and i love this scarf a lot. It's SOO versatile. dress-forever21 cardigan-ae scarf-ae boots-f21 My legs still show remnants of the spray tan I got for prom. $10 after 10 deal! But, it's kind of weird considering it's been 3 weeks and only my legs have retained the "glow". Hahaha. Anyways, I'm off for the weekend! Thank you ALLLL for the comments lately. This feedback is absolutely blowing my MIND. I never expected one follower. I never expected one person to care about what I have to say. This here is sort of my public diary minus the nitty gritty details and most of the time, doesn't include my more.... "emotional meltdown" rants, and I love that someone is listening. So, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Love always, maggie:)

LOVE this outfit. It is perfect. I love mixing patterns. And that is crazy about the hall monitor incident! Doesn't he know you are a good girl?? Good of your English teacher to back you up!

HEART: me

and thanks for your compliment on my writing. You totally made my day. And yes to your question. I do think about writing "for real". It's what I want to do actually. And I will do it. But not right now. Babies are a real time suck I'm afraid. ;-)

All skirts and dresses should be rocked with boots from now on. Love that you went all out and mixed three prints. I dunno if I could pull it off.

In other news, cramps are gone and I'm back on my gym kick. Ooo yeah :D I would probably eat a worm for 1500$, no less. That way I can get the DLSR Cam I want. Haha!

You're super adorable, I love the mix of colors and prints! Aww I'm sorry you got in trouble (for a few minutes anyways)! I know how that feels, I was (still am actually) a super goody-two shoes and felt super bad whenever I got into trouble (which was rare but still).

I have been so very far behind with keeping up with everyone's blogs, even my own. But I knew yours had to be one of the first ones I checked after my long internet break and you never disappoint. I love this mixology. I really want to experiment with some pattern play!
