Fields of Yellow

DSC_0019
Idaho is truly a magical place. It's the real life Neverland where no one ever really grows up and you can walk around downtown and be confronted by a person dressed up as a zombie who asks you to dance. And then of course, there are the rolling fields that simply can't be described in words. They make you feel invincible. My goal for the summer is to truly take advantage of the beautiful state I live in and capture as much "Idaho" as I can before I head to Montana in the fall. As much as I adore you Montana, you don't hold a candle to the rolling Palouse nor the miles of fields of yellow rape grass (yes, you heard me correctly).

Now that I have you all hyped up about Idaho, I have to tell you... this field was located behind our mall. Idaho is still very majestic and every bit as beautiful as I described, but sometimes it takes a bit of a drive outside of the towns to get to the heart of good old farming country. And I'm really lazy in the summer and a drive, even ten minutes away, doesn't appeal to me often. Maybe when Niklaas gets back I'll get organized, but for now I'm going to use fields behind malls. Hehe.

This weekend was one of "those" weekends where you don't shower and you don't change out of your pjs. It was lazy. I started a healthy eating plan this week and I caught up on blogging, so I feel like it was slightly justified. My goal for this week is to incorporate fitness and cleaning and writing into my routine. Sigh. It really does take me a few weeks to get adjusted to a new "schedule" and I only have 8 left before fall. Just when I have it all figured out, I'll have to leave.

I didn't get too many shots when we took these photos mostly because I hate the wind. And it was very windy. Wind isn't attractive. And don't be fooled, either. It was no warmer than fifty degrees. Apparently, this week it's supposed to warm up and we might reach eighty degrees! I'm praying. Moscow hasn't reached seventy but once this month. It's been freezing! Here's to wishing nice weather this week! <3

Idaho is gorgeous! That field of yellow against the big, blue sky is just stunning. I really can't believe that this is behind a mall. And you look adorable as always. Keep up with the summer schedule. ^__^

Idaho is so picturesque beautiful... It's funny because people always want to visit New York, or beaches in Miami but I would love to visit Idaho. It's just stunning.

And you perfectly match the scenery... You're just as beautiful!

Oh.my.goodness. I remember seeing those yellow fields of flowers when I would go to my weekly trips to Walla Walla for my piano lessons. I liked to see how the wheat fields changed color every season :D

Your dress looks perfect against that backdrop!

I love your outfit so much! You are such a doll. We all know that wind is so unflattering! It drives me insane when I try to take pictures in a field in Georgia. It's so hilly/flat here that it is almost always windy/moist/hot in fields. Blah!

Man, I wish it were 60-70 here! It's been in the 100s non stop since April/May. That's the good ole' south for ya though.

was it seriously fifty degrees?! i am moving to idaho RIGHT NOW. it's almost 100 right now in texas. but i wouldn't be able to go without tights and a jacket in 50 degree weather, so i'm amazed right now that you're rocking this super cute dress! don't freeze!

It's not warm here either. Foolish me is always deceived by a glimpse of sunshine out of the window when getting dressed in the mornings and then ends up freezing all day :(

Amber said...

wow that field looks unreal, like a painting or something. Simply beautiful photos.

Great dress and great field! When are we getting together?!

Kuleigh said...

Wow. The colors in these photos are unreal! So beautiful. I love the cap sleeves on your dress! My bf has Niklaas' shirt. Too cool! I'm with you on the schedule thing. I also need to incorporate exercise and healthy eating. I get out of good habits too quickly.

That field is truly gorgeous... and behind the mall, too! Behind the mall here is, um, some grass. Nothing nearly as spectacular as that. Idaho sounds like such a breathtaking place! I love those lazy weekends so much... I actually live for those, haha. And yeah, getting used to a schedule takes me some time too. OH MY GOODNESS, the photo of you and Niklaas together is adorable. :)

it's crazy how you guys still get to wear cardigans ans stuff :p your june was kind of my march hahaha or maybe february. Right now I feel like I'm trapped in an oven. 105F... I might as well go naked outside... and this pictures make me want to visit Idaho so badly. there's no vegetation here. None at all. Nonexistent. Dead.

And that dress! Where do you get such cute things?! You always look superb!

I'm so, so jealous of those majestic fields.

I can relate to you on the wind, though.. as a gal with bangs, it's the ENEMY.

WOW! I always love the outfit photos taken in the fields! These Idaho fields are beautiful! No, beyond beautiful! And your outfit once again looks adorable and so fitting in this location! Is is the fields or the florals that give your look a country girl touch? :) I love it ewither way!

Cel said...

Wow, I'd have never guessed that was just behind a mall! Such a pretty place. It's funny, I think the complete opposite about fields, they make me feel vulnerable. I grew up in thickly forested hills and valleys and all that wide open space in fields makes me feel out of place.

Paige Rhianne said...

Wow it looks and sounds so lovely. I adore your outfit so sweet! I really really like your shoes too.
Thankyou for my comment xxx

Oh wow, these photos are gorgeous... there's definitely not fields like that behind malls in Pennsylvania. On the way, maybe, but behind, no! Plus I love your outfit. I was eyeing those shoes for quite a while, but then they disappeared on me. You wear them well!
