Come to Me With the Look in Your Eyes

Hellllo fellow bloggers:),

I am unfortunately home sick today due to the fact that I have septicemic plague and the boils have taken over my face. If you thought zits were bad....... (kidding!! I realize, you all don't know me, and that was entirely a fabrication ;) Sarcasm is hard to pick-up on through writing, I guess)

But, really. I am home sick. My little sister and mommy are sick as well, so I'm stuck here in a quarantined sick house! My dad is afraid of going near any of us.

Well, I was planning on making this blog entirely about something else, but as I'm realizing..so much happened this weekend, I better try to not bite off more than I can chew!

Thursday, the dear and I went swing dancing. Have I mentioned that I am a swing dance extraordinaire?? Well, that might be a wee bit optimistic, but I really do swing dance with my friend. We have a performance coming up soon, and every Thursday night we go to this ballroom above a club and dance with other interesting people. It was formal night, so we matched and it was cutee. I got asked by three complete strangers to dance!

Here is the outfit I wore Friday to school :). I really love this dress, and I never would have thought to put a blouse under it, but I am happy with the result!

I am a true Idaho-ian at heart:). The lighting in these photos turned out pretty neat, I think.

On Saturday, I attended my first ever FOOD FIGHT. It wass my friend Emily's (who is one of the coolest people I know. Seriously, I envy her style) 18th birthday, and she threw a food-fight birthday party. It was extremely fun and everything you imagine it would be like when you see it happen in lunchrooms during a movie, and more. But the one thing movies aren't able to portray is the SMELL. I seriously did almost puke.

The weather was abominable (in the best way possible!) all weekend long. It was in the upper 50's, low 60's and....wow. For our little Northern Idaho town, this was strange. Last year, we had three feet of snow in March and had 9 snowdays. This year, we got eleven inches of snow total for the whole season and zero snowdays.Perfect for a FoodFight though! It felt amazzzzzing.

We basked in the sun all morning at the park. It was amazing. And, yes, we are definitely in our pj's....

And MY personal favorite event all weekend.....I got taken out to dinner by the dear. I've never been taken out to a restaurant, in fact, I tend to avoid it. Heh. I am seriously THE pickiest eater in the world...I've never had soda, a hotdog, a hamburger, and 95% of the vegtables in the world. But, he took me out to Thai food, and I TRIED PadThai! It was pretty excellent. We talked and giggled the whole time, and the best part was that we were dressed up:).I wish I had taken a picture of my outfit. It was the perfect "Dinner Date" look! He was dressed up in a suit and awwwwww, it was delightful. We went to sadies together afterwards :). Guess who we went as??

Isn't he adorable?? We got so many compliments! Definitely the most clever outfits there,
if you ask me. Although, the Bella/Edward combo was hard to compete with. To get his hair this way, I straightened it, and then he gelled it back with about a pound of hair gel. It was too funny.

I'll blog again this week before my big adventure to college :)

Love always,

Define You and Me.

13 Things I Love(d) About Today.

(one)
I woke up delightfully at 8:38am to this text: What's the best day for fish and chips? Fryday. Hehehe. :). It is indeed, Friday. The best day.
(two)
You chictopians and bloggers. I feel so much different than when I first started my chictopia, just ONE month ago! I seriously step out the door wearing the exact outfit I want to wear- not just an outfit that will "blend" in. I NEVER had that kind of confidence before. I'm becoming the person I want to be-and it means the world. I owe a lot of it to youu:).

I completed ONE entire worksheet in Calculus. How often does this happen? Once...a month. Maybe. I usually can't even complete one problem.
(four)
At school, a girl in my government class whose haircut I absolutely love but never ever talk to told me that I was the "Tights Girl" and that she loved all the tights I wear. AHHHH. Huge compliment. It made me SO happy!

(five)
I'm sore. Literally, my muscles ACHE! But I love that feeling! It makes me feel productive and...active. I went to soccer practice last night and it kicked my butt. But now it feels amazing!
(six)
I found my missing carmex! I love with you find chapstick that you lost.... and carmex is the greatest in the world:)!

(seven)
I was force-fed carrot cake today. I've never tried it before in my entire life (don't even get me started on what I have never eaten...) but that delightful person MADE me eat it. And it wasn't half bad.... :).
(eight)
In English, I spent the entire class period on chictopia. Because, long and behold, it ISN'T blocked at school!!! AHHHHHH. You have no idea how happy this makes me! Take that, public education!!!
(nine)
Do you believe in fate?? I am always on the lookout for "signs" from the superior power...and always pay attention to coincidences. To me, sometimes, things just HAVE to be saying something, you know???? Like, today. I gave the delightful person a ride home and the one song that is our "inside joke" -(we have a thing about sending eachother the lyrics of the song via text whenever we hear it or think about it)- came on the radio!!! Followed by another one of our mutual loved songs that we always listen to together...but usually manually by our ipods. So. It was weird. To say the least!

It was sunny outside! I love the transition from winter to spring more than any other. I know I say this about every single season...but I honestly love pulling out my skirts and being able to walk around town without getting frost bite. It feels AMAZZZINGGG.
(eleven)
I spent the afternoon with Taylor getting photographed by our exchange student extraordinaires :).

Tomorrow is Saturday...and for the first time in WEEKS, I get to SLEEP IN!!! Plus, tomorrow I'm going to a Food-Fight birthday party with the delightful person and going to dinner with that person and SADIES! I think we have decided officially on our dynamic duo costumes :) I can't wait to show you guys.
(thirteen)
It's Friday night and I'm at my favorite place in the entire world: home. I'm happy. I'm listening to music, texting the delightful, laying on my bed in sweats and a HIGH ponytail, and just loving everything. I'm going to miss all of this so much when I leave for college next year.... I'm just realizing these are the last months of my life where I actually live in this house. Wow. I'm just so happy with everything right now and where it's all going... Only 27 hours until possibly, the delightful becomes the past. Sigh. (I realize that is extremely vague. I'm open to discusssing...but not on a blog that isn't public to my classmates eyess ;) ).

I am feasting my ears to:
1) I'll be your breeze- Andrew Belle
2) All Those Pretty Girls- Fun.
3) Oh, It is Love-HelloGoodbye
4) You Belong With Me-Taylor Swift
5) Sky- Joshua Radin
6)Satellite-Guster
7)Stars-The XX
8) Walcott-Vampire Weekend

Thursday, March 4

Just (one) more day.

Hellooo!

Well, it is Thursday. Only one day until the weekend (hallelujahhh!).

Although......
I'm not excited about what's going to happen this weekend...sigh.

So I watched the season finale of The Bachelor this week. I've never actually watched the show, but because Ellen made a big deal of it on her show and apparently there was some huge "scandal", I watched it. And it reallly made me think and I was completely able to relate.

Is it really possible to feel an insane/perfect/unbreakable connection with someone and love them so much that you can't imagine life without them......but that other person not feel anything at all??
I mean, if the conversation flows, you flirt and giggle, and find yourself dizzy from just being around them...can that all be one sided? Or is it mutual?
And then there's the more intimate connection. After you have a deep conversation with someone and you feel so emotionally bonded, can THAT be one sided?

Hmm. It just made me think. Personally, I would like to think that no, it isn't all one sided. If you are flirting, talking nonstop, hanging out, and generally inseperable, there has to be a reason for it beyond just that you are friends. But maybe, there is reason to prevent the other person from acting on that feeling. Like, maybe they are a douche like Jake, and too immature to handle a real committed relationship. Or, they have a girlfriend and can't act on their feelings.

Just sayin'.

I can't wait to be in love.
For real.
